The Lebanese Association for Agricultural and Social Development studied the reality and results, then drew and developed solutions based on the initial successful experiments carried out by the U.S. Agency for Development.

“Our mission”

1 – Chronic neglect of the agricultural sector in Lebanon and in particular the north Bekaa, where the majority of the population depend on it for living.

2 – The spread of the scourge of drug cultivation support from lawless gangs entrenched in the Lebanese state, as well as the occupying countries during successive wars which destroyed the social structure.

4 – Desertification and deforestation.
(Poverty and extreme cold forced residents to randomly cut part of the forest turning the rejoin into semi-desert).

5 – Lack of planning and organization by the concerned ministries.

6- The inability of the majority of municipalities and cooperatives to develop their areas and sustain the agricultural process.

7 – The adoption by farmers of primitive means of agricultural farming.

8- Most importantly the acute shortage of water for irrigation between May and October of each year.
